If the cheapest of the bike can carry more weight than the price that I spend on a bike?
I weigh 270 pounds. How much should I spend on a bicycle? Probably lose 10 pounds a month if I keep exercising. Its going to be a mountain bike since I live on dirt roads, but I will follow running on the road to different cities.
Cheap bikes are heavy, but that does not mean it can support more weight. Due to poor quality components used to make these bikes, which are usually weaker than the lighter, more expensive bikes. If you plan to buy a mountain bike, stay away from full suspension models, particularly low prices, are heavy and prone problems, especially for heavier riders.
