Golf fitness Exercises for the Senior Golfer
Learn exercises golf fitness can help improve your golf game as mature. It happens to all of us although we do not want to admit it. The reality is that we all get older. Some of you already know what I'm talking about, and others have yet to experience the phenomenon of aging.
Those of you reading this article and are no longer "spring chickens" get my drift. Even if you are one of the lucky ones still young, let me fill in what happens when the body gets a few miles on it.
Probably the biggest thing that everyone likes drag us in our thirties and forties is the extra weight in pounds (ie weight) we tend to. (It's also much harder to take off when we get older.) Unfortunately, because our metabolism slows down, we can not pounds for a burger, fries and a couple of coca-cola without the bathroom scale hitting "tilt" a few days. In my mind, which is probably the most difficult adjustment we have to do: an adjustment in our nutrition intake as we age.
The second most noticeable difference as we age, especially for the more active individual, is that it becomes a little harder to get out of bed. The back is a little pain, the knees are a little creaky, and if you exercise, the pain does not disappear so quickly.
This is the result of a couple of things that happen to our bodies when we age. Number one is that they lose a percentage of our muscle mass on an annual basis. After the age of 25 (do not quote me on the details, but I think) about 1 percent of their muscle mass is lost per year. Makes sense now why we get a little sore and out of bed is more difficult. Simply does not have much muscle to do the job.
I could go on and on with the depressing facts of aging, but let's look at a more before continuing. As it ages it becomes less flexible. It takes you much longer to warm up for any sporting activity: golf, tennis, or pick up basketball game. Less flexibility predisposes to experience more difficulty with certain movements: touching your toes, rotating during a golf swing, or even reaching down to pick something up. Why does this happen? Our bodies, as a result of wear, becoming tighter and less flexible as we age.
So there you have it! Some of the great things to look forward as they get older (kidding, of course). So if you're in your twenties and you're reading this article, enjoy it while it lasts, because the road is a little more difficult to travel as you get older.
If you are more than twenty, I'm sure you can relate to the overall results of aging in relation to your golf game. Simply kilos more than its strength (and can affect your swing plane). Less muscle equals less distance off the tee, and decreased flexibility tends to make the turn in the golf swing much more difficult. An unfortunate situation, but the good news is that it can slow the aging process and limit effects of aging on your golf game.
I have given basic information about some of what is the process of aging. Now is the time to discuss how we can slow down and reverse the aging process.
How are we doing things? It's actually pretty simple and only takes a little time each day (15-20 minutes) and a little discipline. Sounds pretty easy when you think about all the benefits they are to gain. Remember we can not stop the aging process, but it sure can slow down. The benefits of slowing down the aging process are evident when you see guys in his 50 tour events to win.
It just takes a little time, some knowledge, and discipline. If you are saying, I have no time I have a question: How would you like to feel 10 years younger right now and press the ball farther, you did in your twenties? I guess the answer to both questions would be a resounding yes!
Let's start with the first issue we have described, when you get older, the extra pounds. Unfortunately, as you get older your metabolism slows down. For those of you unfamiliar with the metabolism of the word, think of it as your internal furnace. The speed at which you burn fuel (food is fuel for the body).
When we are young we tend have faster metabolisms, and as we get older they slow down. Well, let me tell you, there are activities to speed metabolism back up. The way to do this is by conducting some fitness activities. If you are active and participate in some type of structured activity your body burns more fuel and increase your metabolism during this time.
In addition, if these activities are activities strength training (weights, tubes, light weights, body weight), then over time you to build some muscle. The great thing about it is the muscle you have the higher your metabolism be all the time (translation, you will burn more fuel all day and night). A secondary benefit of these activities will be more resistance in the course. So instead of spraying their shots throughout the last nine holes because you're tired, you can have a great accuracy into the 18.
Turning to the second point, the loss of muscle mass with age, this is a difficult to swallow. Just think, actually lose muscle as we age. Pretty depressing. The good news is that it can be limited or stopped.
Before I give you the solution, let's see how this affects your golf swing. In essence, the golf swing creates club head speed. That the club head speed is the result of creating rotational energy, which we define as a pair. To create torque, the body's muscles need to be flexible, strong and powerful.
Now guess what? If you have less muscle, what do you think will happen to their power output and speed of the club head? The answer is to decline. No wonder they do Axes with a lot of flex. This is golf manufacturers attempt to address this problem.
Help a point, but we have a better solution. How about putting something in a bag makes you stronger, improve your power, before returning to distance it has lost? Sound good? Well, you can do if you deploy a force of golf fitness training program. You can return the lost muscle mass, to return energy and improve your driving distance. This is what we call the force development courses, and can be done with a program that has a total of 15 minutes a day!
Finally, moving on the issue of flexibility, our bodies lose flexibility as we age. Flexibility is a necessity when it comes to golf swing. This is what happens when you do not work on your flexibility.
A loss of flexibility in the golf swing limits the body's ability to perform the correct actions to create the proper swing. In essence, your body will not let you take the club through the back and swing the right way. This leads us to miss hits, slices, hooks, and plenty of other shots that are very unpleasant.
How can we solve this problem or not let it become a problem? The answer is the golf program implementation flexibility. Again, this requires a daily commitment, but the period is very short, about 5-10 minutes a day. So again, ask yourself: Is it worth spending 5 minutes a day on the flexibility for the golf swing that you like? I bet most of you would answer yes.
Well, there's the pleasure, displeasure, joys and sorrows of the aging process. We all get older, but there are things you can do to prevent trouble and sorrow. If we take a little time every day and perform the proper exercises and activities, we can reduce the effects of aging and have a great swing for as long as we like.
It seems obvious after reading this article the advantages that a golf fitness program can provide the player mature. Through a series of exercises for golf, a mature player can improve flexibility, increase endurance, and develop more power. All of which leads to better golf swing. All that is needed is a small amount of time and effort.
